A Cute Family

It is probably feeling like spring for most of you.
BUT...
here in the mountains,
we are still getting snow.

In fact, we just got some more this past weekend.
And my kiddos got creative with the new white stuff!

Apparently this one is me.

 And here is why...

 The Family

My Grandma sat at the window for over an hour and watched them build the entire Snow Family.
She really enjoyed it.

She is 4!

And has been for awhile.
Tessa had a birthday back in December.

And she shares the same birthday as her Aunt Sheila, Brian's sister.
AND... Sheila and her family were here (all the way from AZ) skiing on the BIG DAY!
So we celebrated BIG for both of them.

Probably no coincidence that both of the birthday girls'
request for birthday dessert was Grandma's (Brian's mom)
Coconut Cream Pie

Tess, of course, wanted hers to be pink.
Grandma was glad to accommodate.

Happy Birthday Precious Girl!
I love you.

10 Hours...

of skiing at Park City Mtn Resort!!

Hudson, Abbi and Caleb

The details are confusing.
But long story short- -
they got $15 ski tickets from some friends.
They started their day on the mountain at 9am and went until 9pm
with a few breaks for eating and warming up in the lodge.

They had a blast skiing all day with their friends.
And even did some night skiing.
Thanks P Family!!

My Lovies

I have many Loves-of-my-Life.
And we enjoy celebrating the love (sounds like a 70's thing) every day
but we go "all out" on
February 14th
Valentine's Day!

The girls set the table with heart-y things.
This year they made a little bear holding a heart with each person's name on it.
Cute!

We also have a "Red/Pink Dinner"
This years menu was Shrimp Alfredo, pink fruit salad, beer bread (which was neither red or pink but it was yummy) and for a drink, Raspberry Dazzler

The 3 Musketeer Sisters
and Hudson's helpers with the dessert.

The Dessert
De-lish!

Each person gets a $5 gift

Even Grandma Great got a gift.
Her favorite...
CHOCOLATE!
You can see she was pretty happy about that.

This fruit dessert was the perfect Grand Finale to a fun evening.

I Love my
LOVIES!

It's February 23rd!!

And all is quiet on the home-front.
Today is my due date BUT,
"Little Man" has found great comfort in my womb.
So stay he will!!
(for the time being)

I have many contractions throughout the day.
Only a few of them have taken the smile off my face and they are far and few between.

Saw my midwife yesterday.
(we did my prenatal in the parking lot of McDonald's)
Nothing like being flexible :-)
Anyways, his little head is down - ready to go!
We also felt his fist next to his face.
So cute!

Speaking of "his face"...
I cannot wait to kiss his chubby little face
all over the place!
(that is a popular saying around our house)

Welp, as we wait, we will decide on names
and I will try to finish his (crochet) blanket.

I will also "try" to get my blog updated on all of the things we have been doing.
Stay tuned!

Still Kickin'...

in my womb!
Yes, I am still pregnant.
My due date is next week but don't hold your breath,
it may take a little bit longer to "finish the baking".
I think I have said this before but I am going to say it again...
I have truly embraced and enjoyed this pregnancy.
What a blessing for me to be carrying a precious gift of God.

However - - I must say
I am to the point of being done.
I am done carrying him in my belly.
I really want to be carrying him in my arms.
I am ready!
My children are ready!!

Even though we are ready to love on this little guy,
we will patiently wait for his arrival.
(Besides that, we don't have a name for him yet - yikes!)

Wordless Wednesday! (kinda)

(I truly have a hard time with the whole wordless thing.)

A Great Ski Day...

for my chums!
They skiied without me.
I missed out on my once a year ski day with my friends due to other circumstances -
A VERY LARGE BELLY!
BUT...
I met up with them at Deer Valley for lunch
What a treat!

LOVE MY CHUMS!

We Can Rebuild Him

This is the x-ray of Brian's heel/foot after surgery.
See the plate and 12 screws?
He is half bionic :-)

He is almost 3 weeks post-op!
Nice to have those 3 weeks behind us.
whew!
He was in so much pain and it was difficult for him to get comfortable.
Sleeping was nearly impossible.

The pain has subsided.
Sleeping is better.
Healing is happening.

Now he just wants to crawl out of his skin.
He is going stir-crazy.
3 months of no weight on his foot.
How do you keep a man down?

You don't!

He found this contraption called a "Freedom Leg"
that allows him to walk with no weight on his foot.
And he is hands free!
He does not depend on one of us to carry his things from one place to another.
His thigh and knee take all of the weight and his foot hangs above the bar.
The bar becomes his foot.

Right now, he wears it only when he absolutely needs to get around.
Once the swelling goes down and the stitches are out, I am sure it will be his main way of transportation.
