"The Sticky Stuff"...

That's Me!!
I died laughing when I read what Caleb had wrote...
"she is the sticky stuff that holds us together"
I enjoyed his post and I loved your comments!!

Thanks to all of you for your sweet comments.
Very unexpected and VERY encouraging!!

I had a lovely birthday. How could I not? I was treated like a queen!
I ask you, "What's not to love about that?".

I love poems. I can't write them. (It must be lack of brain cells or something) BUT, I am surrounded with people that can! AND I love it when they write poems to me. I just have to share this one with you from my older brother...

To My Sister

A house-full of children and friends
She’d have it no other way
Lots of energy and smiles
We call her Ashtray Gay

Early to rise in the morning
She does her best to stay fit
The rest of the day she’s running
In her there is no quit

Arenas and barns and saddles
A girl who enjoys her horses
Known to sneak ice cream from the freezer
I can’t reveal my sources

Her hubby loves her
On him she is sold
I give her a thumbs up
?? really isn’t that old

I hope her day was great
Today ice cream is legal
Her brother sends his love and advice
When plowing beware of the eagle!

Love,
Paul

Thanks again for your comments, emails, phone calls, cards, fb messages and poems!
Ya'll are awesome!!

I lost count!

Hi ya'll! It's our Moms Birthday today!
I am speaking for the family when I say "she is the best mom ever!"
She is the sticky stuff that holds us together. Without her I would probably starve (I can't cook very well). Without her, I would be wearing rags (or deer hide). Without her me and my siblings would be not be here.

She has done a lot in her years - First off she married my dad, then she gave birth to me, then she gave birth to eight other kids! If that doesn't boggle your mind then this will... Mom is our camp cook and our family cook! She is a farmer! She is a wife! She is our teacher! She is the one who sits in the passenger seat while I am trying to learn to drive (scary)! She cleans my hunting clothes that are covered in blood! The list goes on and on.....
If you guys have something you would like to add to the list, leave a comment!

Happy Birthday Mom!
Hope you have many more.
Love, Caleb.

Don't worry about me. I WILL pull through. :-)

My flip-flops are in my closet awaiting my bare-feet.
;)
My day will soon come.

A Few More Things

I am having so much fun looking through our pictures from our time in Idaho. The children had 2 cameras with them. It is fun to "see" all that they did through their "eyes".

One of the main highlights was horseback riding in their new arena.
It was a fun (and safe) place to enjoy the horses.

Abbi, Hudson and Alli

Abbi

Even Daisy-the-dog took a ride.

They enjoyed...

barebacking

giggling

learning

playing

racing

and friendships!

One Week Ago...

We were on our way home from Idaho.

Remember... crazy me wanted to get the chicken pox from our cousins?
So, we packed our bags -

Drove north through beautiful terrain -

(Devils Slide- way cool)

And arrived in Idaho!!

Their 2 youngest had been exposed to the pox but never did break out.
So we came home empty handed with the pox but full of great times and many memories!

Paul (my older bro) and Elaine have 8 children that are pretty much all the same ages as our children. When our children get together, there is lots-of-fun happening.

The Whole Crew
(except for Caleb and cousin Lauren)

A few of the things we did - -

Games of Chess
Sam and Hudson

Dead Man! Dead Man! on the tramp
Tessa, Hope and Mark

Group chaos on the tramp

Reading
Lauren, Hope, Maggie, Tessa and Elizabeth

Bike Riding
Lauren and Dani Rae
Emilie and Abbi

Playing in the Play-house
Mark and Tessa

"Blowing out" of eggs...
for a spring decoration!

Pulling teeth...

(Elizabeth)

Holding the very cute one week old puppies
Calvin and Weston

Greeting newborn goat kids
Alli and Dani Rae
Abbi and kid

Snuggling and giggling on the couch
Dani Rae, Abbi and Emilie

We went to a play called
"No Greater Love"
It was about God's amazing grace that provides hope and salvation through the cross.
Very well done with live animals such as a donkey, sheep and a camel.
This is Clyde the Camel -
and he gives kisses!!

Stay tuned for more!

Not E.V.E.N. Funny!

The snow had melted.
Things were turning green.
Warm and sunny days.

So ready for flip-flops!
Ahhh... makes me so happy.

And then this happened...

In case you are worried about me. Don't be.
I am still happy.
It's just not a "flip-flop springy" happy.

The sun is out today.
Melt snow, MELT!!

He Lives!

Jesus is the King of Kings.
Jesus is the Name above all names.

Jesus is Lord of my life!

Easter Sunday
We went to church.
We spent the day with family at Grant's (my younger bro) house in Salt Lake.

We feasted!

We had fellowship with family!

My Grandma (96) and Shannon's Gma (86)
Aren't they the cutest?

Mom and Me

We had fun!

Jesus on the cross at Calvary covers it all ~ my sins past, present and future.
He suffered and died for all.
AND then He rose from the dead.

He Lives!
