The Honeymooners!

Newport Beach, CA

October 26-29
The long awaited second honeymoon!
(16 years and 8 children later)
Some friends were getting married in California so we decided to help
them celebrate and make it a little "get-a-way" time for just the two of us.
We had a blast!!
My parents came to our house and stayed with 5 of the children and all of the animals.
The other 3 went to my brothers house.
(Thanks so much. The children had a great time too!)

Immediately after landing in CA we got into our "submarine" rental car...

And went straight to the beach.

I could not wait to get my toes into the sand. I loved it!!!

Saturday morning we drove down to Dana Point to see Stacy and her daughter, Daly.

It was a beautiful drive down the coast.

Visited with Stacy and Daly for awhile in their cute home

and then we went to lunch. So FUN! to see her and get caught up again.

(Stacy lived in Park City and is a long time friend. She just moved to CA in June.)

We miss her!

Dana Point Harbor

A beach cove in Laguna Beach.

A beautiful sunset on Laguna Beach.

We walked the main street and had a fun time seeing all of the art and shops.

We walked the beach and then sat on a bench along the boardwalk and watched the sun go down.

See that little black spot in the middle of the pic, that is a dolphin. We watched them jumping out of the water. Very neat!

Ate a very nice dinner at the Bluewater Grill out on the deck overlooking a small harbor.

For those of you who care, Google headquarters.

Some of the burned land that we saw as we drove along the highway.

Another Big Canyon!!!!!

What do they mean, "No lifeguard on duty"!?

We visited Saddleback Church on Sunday.

Rick Warren - Purpose Driven Life author, is the pastor.

Fun to see a Mega Church in action.

Jenn and Jason's wedding.

It was a beautiful outside wedding. What a God-glorifying couple.

A great reception with dinner and dancing took place afterwards.

We had a great time!

You can see the "love in our eyes".

We enjoyed our time in California.

And especially had a great time just being together.
