None of your Bees-wax

Back in October...
(yes, I know, I am a Slogger)
We harvested the honey that our bees
had worked on all summer long.
(don't worry, we left some for them)

Hudson the Bee-Keeper

Papa (the King of Beekeeping) melting the caps off
so we can extract the honey from the comb.

The previous post contained pictures of our
Hillbilly Guests/Entertainers

They were a big hit with the campers and brought much
laughter and excitement
each evening in front of the campfire!

A Swimmin' Hole

For our Ducks

You see, there is a place at the end of our driveway
that makes a puddle whenever it rains.
And after a good rain, our ducks head straight for their swimmin' hole.
Oh, they love it!!

Oh, and I love watching them!
They fascinate me.
Not sure why.
They just do.

Quite the pair!

"His work is honorable and glorious,
And His righteousness endures forever.
He has made his wonderful works to be remembered;
the Lord is gracious and full of compassion."

Oh, Sing!

"Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.

For the Lord is greatly to be praised."

Psalm 96:1-4

She loves riding him bareback and at full speed.

It REALLY Stinks Around Here!

It's that time of year again.
Time to breed our does - female goats.
That means Casey-the-Buck returns to our farm.

If you don't know about bucks,
let me tell you...
THEY STINK!
BAD!!!
REAL B.A.D.

  He LOVES our girls (goats).
(Of course he does. He is a buck!)
The girls were not so sure of him at first.
The girls ran and Casey chased.

While Casey trapped Patsy IN the shed,
Bambi jumped ON the shed to get away.

After a while, the girls started warming up
to the idea of being with him.
They quit running and started sniffing.
UGH!

Even Cash was annoyed by the new smell on the farm.
He couldn't figure out why something would allow itself to smell so bad.
Casey gave Cash "some lip".

Hopefully Casey will do "his thing" and we will have kids next spring.
And...more yummy goat milk!

Here Fishy Fishy!

Add 3 more swimmers to our crew!

Once again, through our homeschool group,
we were provided with some lessons affordably.
(remember - "affordably" is a key word around here)
This time it was swim lessons.

The three little girls LOVED it!!
