Mourning... and now Dancing!

"You have turned for me my mourning into dancing"
Psalm 30:11

It was 3 years ago today that we birthed our son, Jeremiah.
Stillborn.
 4 months early.
He had been in my womb for 20 weeks.
He weighed 6.5 oz.
We held him.
I didn't want to let go.
He was beautiful and perfect in my eyes.
And in the eyes of the Lord.
What a privilege and honor to be his mommy!
I miss him.
I think of him often.
I wonder.
I love.

It was difficult.
It was painful.
It was in my suffering that Jesus entered my sadness.
He never left me.
He grabbed my hand and helped me to stand.
He asked me to dance.
And dance, we did!
Sweetness.

"You have turned for me my mourning into dancing"
Psalm 30:11

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you:
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations."
Jeremiah 1:5

We love you Jeremiah!

Just ask - with a please.

My last post was me asking for more sunshine and more "horsin' around" time.
I even asked with a "please".
Well...
on Saturday
I GOT IT!!

We had another beautiful ride in the sun.
Even got a little sunburned.
And this time we (the horses and dogs) took a swim in the lake.

Thank you Lord for another beautiful day.
I loved every minute of it!

More Please!!

More time horseback riding.

More trail rides.

More smell of sweaty horses
and wet leather.

 More jumping over little streams.

Come on, Ty!
You can do it!!

Whoo-eee!
Hold on for dear life, Dani Rae!!

More fun memories with my girls.

And...
please. more. sunshine!!

I am thankful we "snuck" this ride in last weekend.
It has rained/snowed every day since and kept us from enjoying another ride like this one.

This is the view we suffered each day in Palm Springs.

A Break...

between snow storms!
We woke up to snow but most had melted by afternoon.
See how green our grass IS?
It's a beautiful thing. But even more beautiful will be when we are walking barefoot on it.
Anyways, the kiddos took full advantage of the "warm" weather.

Finding the Heat (part 1)

We always look forward to a family vacation where it is warm - really warm - after a long winter in the mountains right before our busy summer of campers at BCR.

So, we headed out very early Sunday morning (May 1st) with Grandma in tow.
We were headed for my parents. They have a house south of here and is the half way point for Palm Springs.
Perfect!
We got there just in time for church. It was fun to worship with them and meet their friends.

After church we headed to a resort with a swimming pool and had lunch on the pool patio. It was only 72 degrees and pretty windy but that was really warm to my crew. And they swam!
Perfect!

Pretty in Pink
Tessa in her new goggles and wings that Papa bought her.
Perfect!

Tessa going down the slide and Hudson waiting to catch her.

The rest of us sitting in the sun.

Even Cooper enjoyed the poolside activity - while he slept.

Oh Cute!!

Grandma getting settled in to her new place for the week.
You see, she stayed with my folks while we were in CA.

We played in their yard and enjoyed the evening together

at their house.

Then came the pizza!
Perfect!

And a few rounds of our new card game - Scum!

Very fun!

And Cooper did some more resting on Nana's bed.
Perfect!
We left their house at 10 pm and finished the last leg of our journey to Palm Springs and arrived at 3 am.
We all went to bed.
