Ashley, My mom and dad's wedding anniversary was on July 18th too. This year would have been their 50th wedding anniversary. My parents never really celebrated their anniversary. When I was in high school I started reminding my dad a few days ahead of time so he could do something for my mom. I continued this tradition until he died. The first year after he died I sent my mom roses from the local florist. Last year I reminded her but I think I just made her sad so this year I didn't do anything. I battled within my heart about calling her. I just didn't want to upset her although I wasn't for sure if not acknowleding it was the right thing. If it had of been me, I would have wanted phone calls from all of my kids! Sometimes it is hard to know exactly what to do for people so I just rely on the Lord to guide me.
As you well know, I married the most wonderful lady in the world. Our love for each other has never quit growing even when I thought that I could never love her more. Enid is what a perfect wife is like. Thanks for the congratulations, Dad
