Wordless Wednesday!

Orphans

A friend from church went to Haiti.

She is going back in June and she has a list of things she wants to take with her to help the Haitians.

One item she would like to take is clothing - dresses for the girls.

She gave us directions on how to make

Pillowcase Dresses

(fyi - the directions made no sense to me so my mom made one and showed us how to. Thanks MOM!)

Sierra (a friend) and Abbi pinning on the straps and pulling the elastic for a gathered front. It is a very easy and quick dress to make.

We had quite the assembly line and made 10 dresses.

Ta-Da!!

We had a lot of fun making them.

We pray that these dresses will bless the little orphan girls of Haiti.

We pray that the little girls that wear these will be well taken care of, find homes and come to know Jesus!

Adoption!

When we moved here 5 years ago, Brian signed us up for

Adopt-a-Highway

We are in charge of keeping clean a 2-mile stretch of road.

He chose the road that leads to Big Canyon - smart guy!

So - - for the last few years, we have been doing road clean up as a family.

And it's that time of year to do it again...

This years crew consisted of Maggie, Caleb, Weston,

Hudson and Elizabeth.

(Abbi stayed home with Dani and Tess)

This was my view as we (they) worked.

Oh come on! Someone had to drive the Ranger (6-wheeler).

The Conquerer's Society

Before I had the "birthday interruption", I was posting about our trip to Idaho to see cousins. So, back to Idaho!

Again, as I was looking through all of the pics from our trip I asked the kids about all of these. I just love their imaginations and creativity.
