A Full Day!

Abbi, Dani Rae and I headed to Salt Lake first thing Saturday morning. Abbi went riding with Papa. She has really missed Chief this winter. So it always fun to see him and be with Papa.

 

  

Dani got to have a quick ride on Risky.

 

My mom, Dani and I went to Costco and then to my Grandma's. She is 95 and amazes me every time I see her. We walked around outside and had a nice visit.  Beautiful day!

Then we met Papa(my dad) and Abbi at Mimi's Cafe for lunch. I had their Walnut Bleu Cheese Salad - oh yum!

Then we rushed home to get the house and the food ready for Sushi Night with friends.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Friday was a very special day for the girls of our family ~ they went to dinner at the Olive Garden and to a Father/Daughter Princess Ball Dance (that's what Dani Rae called it) with their Daddy. It was hosted by South Mtn Church in Salt Lake.

I have pictures of them before they left the house. Brian claims he doesn't know how to work the camera and he is sticking with that story. So, no pics of the evening..

They loved Olive Garden! They loved dancing with their daddy. They loved the sweet treats provided at the dance. They loved being princesses with their King. They loved their evening "out".

Royalty?

Here is what took place the other day...

Schoolwork was done. We were playing a game. Hudson wanted to cook something and decided he would make a Chocolate Cream Pie. As he was making it, he said, "This is Dad's favorite dessert, right?"  I said, "Yep!". He then decided he would surprise him with it after dinner. Then the girls chimed in and said, "Let's clean the house. Write him a letter of how much we love him. Give him the "special" plate and call him King for the Day." So, they all went to work. They even made him a crown to wear.

The children were even talking about making this an official holiday and they would call it "King for the Day". 

It was a fun evening for all.  The only complaint Brian had was that he didn't know he was "king" until 5pm that night.  He would like to enjoy the whole day as King and take full advantage of its perks  :)

I liked the day b/c I got a clean house and I was, by default, the Queen!

Womens Ice-olation Weekend Retreat

A weekend of solitude with the Lord.
