Here is what we have been doing lately. I think the best way to tell you what we have been doing is to show you. I will give you a personal tour of our home but you must promise me that you will remember the pictures of our home BEFORE Christmas. Things have changed a bit... Come with me.
Playing in the Snow
This is the mud room. Each child has their own locker to hang up coats and store boots, shoes, gloves etc.
So much for that plan.
Playing Games
Apparently the players will be back.
Building Forts
We can pull the cushions off and unfold every blanket in the house but heaven forbid that we should put any of it away.
Playing with the Doll Houses

Putting Away Christmas Decorations
Things are boxed up and piled neatly in the family room. Next step is to put them away in the storage room.
But really, who wants to put things away when you have this mess to deal with before you can put anything on the shelves? (sigh)
Hallway lined with Christmas trash. Garbage can was full.
It is obvious we have been doing lots of playing. We have had fun and we have made lots of memories.
And it is obvious we have not done any cleaning OR picking up after ourselves. Hmmm. Maybe tomorrow?

So good to see that you are normal! A messy house means a lived in house (at least that is my justification). You should see the kids room right now, they have been having fun as well!
Our house looks the same way with 4 adults and 2 kids that made most of the mess. Happy New Year.
