The Backcountry

Well, kinda.
It cleared up outside so we put the three little girls down for their naps, Caleb was not feeling well so offered to stay home with the sleepers. And... Hudson, Abbi, Maggie, Weston and I went snowshoeing. I say backcountry but really it was more like our front yard. For those of you who don't know where we live, we live on the mountain with 1,500 acres of Big Canyon. So, we have lots of room to roam and explore. So, that is what we did today. One word ~ BLAST!!!

Weston and Abbi leading the pack. Oakley and Bandit went along.

When we got to the deep stuff Oakley took the lead (she loves the snow!) and Hudson tramped the trail for the rest of us.

It's hard to see what we are doing here but this was a ravine that we slid down and this is a pic of the kids climbing up the other side. It was straight up. We would take a step and slide. We laughed so hard.

Mama Moose watched us for awhile.

Oakley "swimming" in the snow

Another pic of us climbing out of the ravine on the other side. Hilarious.

Almost Home Again!
